Audio Interface for Signal Procesor Using IEEE 1394 Bus
Staroň, Martin ; Přinosil, Jiří (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
The scope of bachelor’s thesis is a design of the connection between the Freescale digital signal processor DSP56300 family and the DFM Audio DICE II iKit interface by way of the TDM bus. The DICE II iKit interface uses serial IEEE1394 FireWire bus that transmits an audio stream from a host computer. This signal receives the DICE II iKit interface that converts audio data from IEEE1394 FireWire to the TDM bus. The signal processor that process the sended audio data in a real time is connected to this TDM bus. The theoretical part of this work describes the theory of the digital signal processor, in detail DSP56300 Freescale family. After that there is a basic specification of the IEEE1394 FireWire bus. The theoretical part of this bachelor‘s thesis is ended by a description the TDM bus, the I2S interface and the AudifiedDSP Solution system. A connection of the signal processor and the DICE II interface was solved in the practical part, included the debbuging and the operating of the hadle subroutine for the duplex communication. The results of this thesis is might utilise for the duplex communication between the signal processor and aplication software working on the host computer.
Signalling system No. 7 implementations for Asterisk
Janíček, Martin ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
Semestral project describes signaling system number 7, it's settings options and options of signaling over IP networks, especially two transport protocols SCTP and BICC for signaling SS7 over IP. Analyses kinds of implemetations of this signaling system to the Asterisk PBX with TDM E1 card support. Further part of this work is dedicated to the open source implementations libss7 of Digium and chan_ss7 which is currently developed by Dicea. Describes in detail their installation to the open source PBX Asterisk including testing of both and comparing these two open source solutions. Last part is focused on realization of gateway which converts communication from TDM network to IP network. For this part, three computers are used. First as SS7 signalling end softswitch, second as SIP signalling end softswitch and last as gateway between them. This gate works as interface between SS7 signalling and SIP signalling. Testing call was realized successfully for both directions.
Effective Integration of PCM 30U OCH into Laboratory Education
Procházka, Jiří ; Atassi, Hicham (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The aim of my bacherol’s thesis was to introduce with problemation of PCM, especially PCM 1. class and their practical use by instalation of equipment PCM30U. The project includes description of transmission equiment possibilites of its praticable setting of intertable cards and basic units. The result of my thesis is suggestion for completing new laboratory exercises for the subject Access and transport networks. The first assignment creates so called “hot line” between two localities connected by E1 line. This option is used e.g. by railway system for dispatching control. The second assignment simulates checking measurement of the optical part of PCM30U, transmitting and receiving part of board JRO. This measurement is important for setting the device when suggesting the fitting and also for regular measurement showing the status of laser or optical connection. The third assignment shows the possibilities of setting and using the order board PBS in PCM30U-OCH. This card is often used in power engineering for transfer of protections and control signals.
Simulation of the RF Transmission Channel for the DVB-H and DVB-SH
Hrach, Petr ; Fliegel, Karel (referee) ; Polák, Ladislav (advisor)
Project is focused on description DVB broadcasting for hand-held’s. It describes standard DVB-H that is founded on DVB-T and uses its transmission infrastructure. Standard DVB-SH is a hybrid system that adds to terrestrial broadcasting satellite connection. Signal can extend by various environments, therefore it are defined models transmission channel with defined parameters. Simulation of the transmission in both channel are realized in user application created in MATLAB. Finally, obtained results are evaluated and discussed.
The library creation of active and passive elements for TDM and WDM optical networks in the OptSim software
Kratochvíl, David ; Šifta, Radim (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
The semestral thesis inquires the implementation of the elements required for multiple- xing into the library OptSim simulaton program. There are explained single-mode and multi-mode optical fibers, the effects operating on transmission signal in the optical fiber, the principles of multiplexing and optical access network.
Objective Exercise of a New Transmission Equipment
Rosenberg, Michal ; Polívka, Michal (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The aim of my project is designing of the example of the new transmission equipment PCM30U - 3UST for education of the subject Access and transport networks in form of the three new laboratory tasks. The tasks are focused on the configuration of a more universal familiarity with transmission facilities-PCM30U-3UST. Students learn to operate with the equipment so that they will be able to manage its interface and practical usage of its insertable cards. Further they gain theoretical knowledge of the E1, that they verify it through the analyzer PUMA 4300E. This work is also acquainted them with the theoretical principles of signal transduction through the framework of the E1 and contains a brief manual of the transmission equipment PCM30U-3UST and analyzer PUMA 4300. Laboratory tasks are processed including detailed workflow, which includes graphic illustration of linkage and developed model protocols.
Design of Effective Usage of Instructional System
Liška, Jiří ; Endrle, Pavel (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis are proposed three new laboratory exercises using TIMS system. Laboratory exercises are focused on digital modulation, multiplexing and measurement errors in transmitting signals with line codes. The laboratory experiments were designed with respect to the practice of the subject matter in an article Access and Transport Networks.
Design of laboratory set "Synchronous Digital Hierarchy"
Hanzal, Jan ; Polívka, Michal (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The aim of my project was introduction with pulse code modulation and synchronous digital hierarchy. Obtained knowledge used with PCM30U device and Marconi's SDH device. These devices are currently new in our lab. Practical part consists of connect devices in to functional state. System PCM30U is using as the input unit of SDH ring. Functionality of connection verify.
Possibilities of connecting the Asterisk softswitch to the 4th generation PBX
Halamík, Zdeněk ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This master’s thesis dissertate the possibilities of the linkage between Asterisk softswitch and the 4th generation private branch exchange. This should create a new generation’s network, so-called NGN, by the convergence of existing telecommunication networks with an IP computer network. This master’s thesis is divided into several chapters. In introduction is described the evolution of the private branch exchanges as well as the principles of the voice digitizing, codecs and signaling commonly used in both TDM and VoIP networks. The main aim of this project is the configuration of Asterisk software exchange for connection with PBX Alcatel 4400 as well as public phone network PSTN. Another goal of this master’s thesis was the configuration of Alcatel PBX and diagnostics of CCS and CAS signaling on E1 interface. In conclusion there are summarized advantages of NGN networks and their utilization in the future.
